Abstract:

In the present paper, we have studied MHD free convective two dimensional unsteady viscous incompressible flows through a porous effect bounded by an infinite vertical porous plate with constant suction. The permeability of the porous medium fluctuates in time about a constant mean, and the viscosity of fluid is assumed to vary as a linear function of temperature. The flow is permitted under the influence of a uniform transverse magnetic field, whereas the induced magnetic field has little effect on the flow and can be neglected. The governing equations are solved by perturbation technique based on computer extended series solution.

Unsteady free convection oscillatory couette flow through a variable porous medium with concentration profile

In this paper we have studied the effect of free convection on the heat transfer and flow through variable porous medium which is bounded by two vertical parallel porous plates. In this study it is assume that free stream velocity oscillates with time about a constant mean. Periodic temperature is considered in the moving plate. Effect of different parameters on mean flow velocity, Transient ve...

Entropy generation analysis of MHD forced convective flow through a horizontal porous channel

Entropy generation due to viscous incompressible MHD forced convective dissipative fluid flow through a horizontal channel of finite depth in the existence of an inclined magnetic field and heat source effect has been examined. The governing non-linear partial differential equations for momentum, energy and entropy generation are derived and solved by using the analytical method. In addition; t...

MHD ‎r‎otating heat and mass transfer free convective flow past an exponentially accelerated isothermal plate with fluctuating mass ‎diffusion

In this paper, we have considered the problem of rotating, magnetohydrodynamic heat and mass transfer by free convective flow past an exponentially accelerated isothermal vertical plate in the presence of variable mass diffusion. While the temperature of the plate is constant, the concentration at the plate is considered to be a linear function with respect to time t. The plate is assumed to be...

The main purpose of this work is to investigate the porous medium and diffusion-thermo effects on unsteady combined convection magneto hydrodynamics boundary layer flow of viscous electrically conducting fluid over a vertical permeable surface embedded in a high porous medium, in the presence of first order chemical reaction and thermal radiation. The slip boundary condition is applied at the p...
